An independent school for 10–17 year-olds who struggle in mainstream education has opened a new seven-acre outdoor activity centre in Wales.
The centre offers horse riding, water sports, climbing, bushcraft, and mountain biking, alongside qualifications that help pupils rebuild confidence, develop teamwork, and re-engage with learning in a supportive, nature-based setting. With the new site, the school can now provide residential stays, giving students more opportunities to grow their self-esteem and life skills through hands-on, outdoor experiences.
Bricks Finance provided fast, short-term funding to secure the site at auction—completing the facility in just two weeks. Nicholas Shepherd of Bricks Finance said: “This is a fantastic setting for outdoor learning. We’re proud to have played a part in expanding this valuable educational resource for young people.”
